Type of a scam Tech Support
Thought I was purchasing actual AVG antivirus and it was actually not. Aallowex Access to my computer, thinking it was real AVG and they hacked my computer, showed a page with CIA on it and asked personal information. Asked me to pay 300 dollars for software thinking it was AVG trying to remove hackers. I now know it was not. Paid the money and then they crashed my computer and asked for more. Filed a claim with USAA after the police report then. Took computer to Best Buy to try to recover buy hopeless. Apparently this is a ransom ware scam using AVG and apple to pay.
