Total money lost $300

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

The person’s name was Jeff Brian. He was a representative for the company. He was supposed to follow up with me but I had a funny feeling. Took 300 out of my account which I never had. No refunds they said. They processed for Project Uplift America. A private foundation under the US Dept of Education. They have been around for 6 1/2 years.

Total money lost $900

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I was e-mailed via the company about their student loan forgiveness program/consolidation I qualified for, so I e-mailed them back for more info. I immediately got a call from a guy named Kevin who walked me through the process of the company and what they do. After researching them (they seemed legit), I took them up on their offer. They were supposed to prepare a contract that outlined they would help me consolidate my loans (it was already done in the past so not necessary) and once I paid them $900 over the course of 3 months for the documents starting when I first spoke to them November 2016, a representative would call me to go over docs and give me other documents to submit to Dept. of Education so the government would take over my loans and my interest would be washed off my debt so I could pay it down once it was taken over. I discussed all the details with a processor named Tina who was more than happy to of over all the details about the contract numerous times. Since I have given them my last payment in January of 2017, I never once been contacted for follow up. I have called them numerous times, e-mailed my concerns about being taken for a ride and asked for a refund since the contract is null (they never provided me any services for my payment to them). NO RESPONSE FROM EITHER TINA NOR KEVIN.
