Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
post and ad on boat trader to sell a boat. Received a text message from an alleged Bobby Gardner, wanting to buy the boat site unscene. Stated he/she was on travel and asked question about the boat. Wanted to send a certified bank check, for more than the amount asked and from that check pay a person that would pick up the boat. I googled their name and it is a documented scam that, where you deposit the check pay some one that picks up the boat and then the check bounces, you are left with bank fees, the money you paid the mover and no boat.
