Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I checked the mail today and in my mailbox was a letter with my address cut out and taped on to the front of envelope. In the top left was nothing – no address or anything. in the Top Right was a pink rose stamp, and a "Thinking of you" stamp from the postal service. when I opened the letter there was nothing but a check for $4,850 to me issued by A.L.A.C Contracting Corp. General Account using the bank: NorthEast Community Bank at 325 Hamilton Ave. White Plains, NY 10601.
I googled the bank, and its a real bank, and the company is real too. but I have ZERO association of them
