Type of a scam Government Grant
Today I received a suspicious message from one of my close friends via Facebook messenger. The message stated that she had recently collected a grant from the Community for Federal Domestic Assistance. In order to claim the grant, all she had to do was send in $3,000 dollars. The message also mentioned that it would be handled by an agent named ‘Angela Danice’. After I sent in the $3,000, I would then supposedly receive $20,000 cash in the mail. Assuming this was far too good to be true, I contacted my local ScamPulse.com and confirmed the attempt was a scam. I promptly called my friend and told her to reset her passwords on social media as her account had been compromised. I’m just grateful I caught onto this attempt before it was too late!
