Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I applied via indeed.com to a job posting for a seasonal customer service role with William Sonoma. This was a work from home position. After 2 weeks I received an email saying that the original position was closed but there was an opening for a personal assistant that they felt I was a good fit for. In the initial email that I received there was a recap of the duties, salary, and benefits being offered. This was a part-time position working 18-20 hours per week but that could become a full-time position depending on performance. In the email, they asked me to confirm that I wanted to the role and pass along basic information including name, address, phone #, and an alternative email. I was to be given a date to come into their offices for a formal onboarding but this would also be a work from home. A day after I confirmed my interest I received a 2nd email letting me know that the company worked with various foster homes as a part of their charitable contributions that I would be receiving a check that should be used to purchase items that would then need to be sent to these foster homes. Within a few days, I received a check via Fedex and instructions to purchase a money order and send $2100 to a location in Indianapolis, IN. After depositing the check my bank alerted me that the check looked to be fraudulent and would not be processed.
