Type of a scam Tech Support
I have been receiving phone calls from a company called Computer Fix. The caller claims that Apple has identified suspicious activity that may mean that someone has hacked my computer. They seek access to my computer to "fix" the problem, for which they seek credit card payment. They sound professional as they read a script, but this apparent professionalism breaks down when critical questions are posed. I have checked with Apple and they do not engage in this type of service, nor do they recognize the company doing the calling. The phone number from which the call came is 702-779-0001.
