We received a call from "Tara" asking if we wanted to use our 8 getaway weeks from RCI. I was unaware we had these getaway weeks. However, we do get Extra Vacations Getaways when we buy more points. Tara said if we pay the exchange fee (which is normal when using Extra Vacations Getaways) for 8 weeks, we’ll receive $6,400. We sent the check for $1,500 and was expecting a check 4 to 6 weeks later. Of course, it never arrived. After four months, I contacted KOVR 8 Call Kurtis and they researched it thoroughly but advised me there wasn’t anything they could do. So beware timeshare owners. This cost us $1,500 and we wouldn’t want you to fall for the same scam.
