Type of a scam Debt Collections
This is not a real company – this is a PO box they have set up to pretend to be debt collectors. They pretended to be collecting on a private health matter (that they should not have access to) that I paid off. I double checked with the hospital. They’ve called me twice, both times giving me fake names. After the initial call (which was really stressful and upsetting, and I told the caller that I couldn’t talk multiple times because I was at work) I researched the supposed debt and found out it was nonexistent. Not only was the amount they told me made up, but the company the medical service was made up also (they said a company had delivered it to me). They called again, and I asked for their mailing address so that I could mail them a check. They gave me the PO box in Michigan. They told me the spelling of their company name was "credence resource management." Lo and behold, when I looked up the address they gave me, I can see they spell their company "creedence resourse management." My guess is they are pretending to be a real company to phish money from individuals. Both callers were non-English speakers who told me if I didn’t pay immediately then the debt owed would increase. Super aggressive. Totally fictitious company, and totally fictitious debt.
