On 08/22/2019 I sent a zelle payment to a company I thought I was buying a teacup terrier. I sent $499 to the following charm city pups as a down payment and after my daughter researched the company it is s scam. I have contacted my bank and the company for a refund with no response.

I was looking for a Maltese puppy. There were none near me, so I looked on-line. There were several web-sites, but they seemed shady. Charm City Pupps has a very robust website, no misspellings, proper grammar, lengthy explanations on how their "service" works etc. I checked several sources including ScamPulse.com and couldn’t find anything negative about them. After on-line chatting with the "supposed" customer service person Jake Miller (of course not their real name). I thought I could trust them – they kept reassuring me everything was "guaranteed". I stupidly fell for it. There were immediate signs that this was a fraud. They were going to fly the puppy with a "real person" to hand delivery the puppy to my house. The special promotion they were running included this fee (normally $120.00 service) for free. Looking back – how is this remotely affordable? The Zelle payment went to someone in Phoenix (I believe) – Mauri Gon (I think her name may be Maurine Gonzalez. Next I received "confirmation" of the payment and a "current video" of my chosen puppy. I received an e-mail from the "shipping" company (who is also a part of the scam) by the name of EcoPet Carriers ([email protected]). They provided flight information for the puppy. I verified through FlightAware.com that there were NO flights with these departure and arrival times to my final destination. I started e-mailing and calling (phone goes straight to messages that no one returns) about these issues. I received one e-mail reassurance that "Jake" had just handed off the puppy to EcoPet Carriers and that everything was moving along, and that I would hear from EcoPet shortly. B/S. When I heard nothing from EcoPet, I contacted Charm City Pupps again – and got the same exact template response that "Jake had just handed off the puppy…". After that they disabled my ability to on-line chat via their web site. They never responded to any e-mail, phone call – nothing. Dead silent. Since they have no address – I’ve been unable to report Charm City Pupps and EcoPet Carriers to places where other people could check to verify the company. Very frustrating that the ScamPulse.com has this policy – I could have saved me heart-ache, time, my faith in people and of course, $500.00.

I can’t believe I got scammed by this crime family. I wanted a Maltese puppy and could not locate any in my area. I thought I did a lot of research on Charm City Pupps – including checking the BBB. Unfortunately there were no negative reports YET. I lost $499.00 to this horrible scam. I have photos and screen shots of conversations where they "guaranteed" they were legitimate and that I would have a new puppy in 48 hours. This company is VERY sophisticated – their website is robust and does not have grammatical errors. The on-line "customer-service" scammer is articulate and convincing.
