Type of a scam Tax Collection
Listened to my voicemail and there was an ‘electronic’ voice message warning me that there was an enforcement action pending against me by the ‘Canadian Treasury’ if i did not appear before a federal or grand jury magistrate.
There was a number from Ontario (416 661 2751)
I did not answer the phone as I only listened to the message., and I am unclear if the scam was a target of myself or my business (phone number is the same). there was no loss of money, and I am certain that the scam was to get me to ‘call’ the number back. maybe a ‘one’ring’ type scam?
