Never respond to Virus messages that pop up on computer. Simply hit escape. We called the number on the message and were conned into giving remote access to what we thought was a Microsoft rep. They charged us for “cleaning up” our computers and potentially added malware or personal identity trackers. Still determining the full extent of our damage.

My grand-daughters turned on the computer and there was a warning with very loud beeping. The warning said to call 888-919-0525. I called. I spoke to David Ware, x. 1352 ID #MS15SRS524SR. I gave him remote control of my computer. He said he could erase the viruses. I said no, and turned off the computer. He told me if I didn’t have $200 you shouldn’t be living, and to get a job. I’m on SS.

My computer froze and a screen came up giving me 30 seconds to call a number before my computer crashed. Essentially, they explained that apple was no longer covering my computer and the both China and russia were hacking into my IP address. They would take care of the problem and cover me for 3 years for 399.99. As soon as I hung up the phone I canceled my debit card but because I had authorized the amount, there’s nothing that MasterCard will do.
