I had a Frontier tech come out to help me fix an issue with my fios cable. 2 weeks later I received a sketchy letter from CMR Claims Department with my address, name, a claim number they generated, and an accurate description of what the Frontier tech came to my house to fix. I called then their number and spoke to Shelby Lambert (or so he says he is). I told him I didn’t want to pay this amount because Frontier told me the cost to fix was free. Shelby said that he can reduce the amount from $271.47 to $150.00 and that the only way to pay was by check over phone. Check over phone means you give them your bank account routing and account number. How sketchy is that? Then I called Frontier to get more information on this charge, the customer service rep told me this was a scam. Frontier does NOT send mail to charge customers for tech visits. ONLY ON THE BILLING STATEMENT. She also saw that there was no charge for the visit and to report this scam.
