Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

They found me via career builder and reached out with a job offering 28/hr. Interviewed via telephone, they explained it was a remote position with a technology company Cisco Systems. Which everything checked out based on my research.

Anyhow, I got the job. They sent me my job verification, w4 forms and direct deposit forms. Then told me that I would have to purchase my software and equipment. They then had a check mailed to me which I deposited and used to purchase the equipment through their vendor. My bank originally cleared the check so I as able to send the money however they determined after the funds were gone that the check was indeed fraudulent. Sending my acct in the negative.

I never recieved any equipment and then I ended up calling Cisco Systems HR and they confirmed that I was not employed with the actual company and that they are aware of the scam but cant do anything about it.

Another email that was attached to the letter of employment was
