I was told that my IP address on my computer was being used in India. And that someone had asked us to all vital information from my computer. I was then asked to spend $200 or $349 on software protection.

The phone ID says number unavailable. There are no numbers just 0s.

Once you answer there is no one there and they do not leave a message on a recorder.

If you have a land line computer hook up, all it takes is for the phone to be answered by a person or a machine and the people involved in this can get into your computer. They changed my passwords and stole information from my accounts.

I changed everything from e-mail addresses to bank accounts.

They tried it again this past week. They call 5-6 times a day until they can get in, after hearing the phone ring and no one there most people will pick it up to tell whom ever to stop calling. They know this.

They will keep trying until you change your phone number or as I did. I unplugged the

computer for a week and they stopped calling. After I unplugged I did receive one more call but since the line was not hooked up they moved on. I can use my computer again.

You have to unplug from the land line in the wall and from the router and totally unplug the computer from the outlet.

Just thought someone should know this is going on. Maybe it will help someone else who has had this happen or prevent it from happening to some one else.
