Same thing happened to me. I sent the product back via Registered Mail, but never got a refund or heard from them again. Learned a lesson, and it cost me over $250.00.
Hi
I am reporting a complaint about thew returned items that I was supposed to have credited to my account ,and to date it was not received .The items were returned onb Oct. 10 2020 .tracking number is 0579076000116985 . I am sure that the items numbered
AAE3D92EFO

and the cream ,which wasn’t opened and .
I checked my credit card statement and no refunds were recorded . I want this shipment that arrived on Oct 8 2020 Straighten this out . May Magnan
I ordered the free sample of the Hemp Oil, I also received the cream and they added the gummies but was charged for those. I was suppose to pay S/H for the oil but I ended up paying over $47. When I called and said I will return them for my money back he told me that I will only get back $17 plus the postage to send them back, so he advised me that seeing I have them already to try them out and if I don’t like them to send for my money, which is useless anyway, still have to pay to send the empty bottles back. Well, I tried the Hemp skin cream, IT DIDN’T WORK, I tried the gummies, THEY DIDN’T WORK, now I have the oil left. I’m just wondering if I should try it which I have no idea how I can use it. Do you put the 20 drops in the mouth or mix them with food or drink? The best is that anyone offering free stuff, just close the page and keep going. So what I thought that I finally found something that works, I lost $47 instead. This money back guarantee is a lot of bull, that’s just to hook you in.
Anyone have an email address for this gummy scam thru Canabury Farms? Please refer to my post here as well for your protection.
Same here, Mike Holmes scam, Got these gummies and they are absolutely horrible and do not work at all. they seem like a sugared jube jube so I think they are fake too. Then 2 months later I get the withdrawal out of my account for the $129.64 as mentioned above. I’m going to get to the bottom of this for sure!
I too ordered the free trial of the gummies and oil and as stated paid the shipping. Then a week later I saw a 129.64 and another debit of 125.44. I called the 1-866-537-7575 and was told that if i sent the items back. I would be reimbursed so I followed their instructions and have yet to be reimbursed. I have called many times and talked to different agents each time. They said the monies was put back in my account and it was not. That is a lot of money to lose and especially being a senior living on limited income
now I have been trying for the past day to try and contact them and a answering machine comes on stating all agents are busy and this is hogwash.
Same thing happened to us and many others. Your Visa or Mastercard will reimburse you for the money as long as you have followed the protocol first and tried to get your money back from the company. Your Visa or Mastercard fraud department will then pursue it for you. We have had success with this.
I fell for this scam on Sept 10. It is the same story as most of the other posts. I hade shipping charges charged to the credit card and on Nov.1, I was shocked to see 2 charges of $129, and $125 charged to my card. The best I could muster from Canabury farms was they would reduce the charges for the product by 50%. I have no desire to return the products, so I guess I’ll just take that and learn my lesson. $65 for gummies and $62 for oil is still way too expensive, but I’m not going to fight it …
The way this “free trial” is operated is a total scam / sham. It is legal and companies will take advantage of it. I don’t think there is a way for a consumer to subvert this type of product offer to get the product for only the shipping cost.
BOTTOM LINE:::
If you haven’t purchased from Canabury Farms, RUN!
If you fell for the scam like I did, LEARN and accept the 50% off they offer.
TRIAL OFFER scams are just another scam offer… they got us. Let’s not fall for their $[censored] again!
Like others ordered the free samples – pay shipping only. They called me and I asked 3 times – is this a subscription as I just wanted to try first and not commit to anything and was assured each time there would be no further charges to my card unless I called to order more product. Six weeks later 2 charges of over $129 show on my Visa. TD has been great about reversing the charges, cancelling my card and issuing me a new one. The fraud dept. at TD says they are getting lots of complaints about this company. Also, they put the charges on your card under different names. They used 5 different company names when de-frauding me.
I fell for the scam, too. Paid for the postage, not realizing I’d be charged the full amount after 14 days. After I contacted the 3rd party, I was told it was in the terms and conditions. If I see this ad come up on Facebook again I will do my best to tell others to stay away from it.

I responded to a Facebook ad for Hemp Gummies and ordered the ‘free’ sample. No mention that I saw of an ongoing subscription and a charge. 2 weeks later my card was charged $129.64. I tried to dispute the charge, but my credit card company (PC Financial Mastercard) told me I had agreed to a subscription. I suggested cancelling the card, but they told me that if I got a new card the subscription would simply transfer to that card, so no help there. They did give me a different number to call this den of thieves: 888-930-8616. They told me to call, request cancellation of the subscription, and get proof of cancellation. I called and spoke to an agent named Andrea. She explained that I was charged the full price for the product as per their ‘terms and conditions’, which were definitely not evident on the page. So no refund possible. I requested to stop the subscription and to email proof of cancellation. She agreed. 2 days later, no proof of cancellation has appeared. So today I am going to call again to confirm the subscription cancellation, and to request a proof of cancellation again. This time I will record the call so that I will have audio proof of cancellation when they charge my card again (which they probably will).

On August 8th, I was just browsing through the internet searching for information on medications that can take care of insomnia without side effects , I think I should rather say natural products that can really tackle the problem, that was how I stumbled into the hands of this so called Canabury Farms; not knowing that this people have disguised themselves to rob the innocent ones their hard earned money. This was how this people ended up siphoning my account. The annoying part is that they come with different name which makes it difficult to notice their nefarious activities on someone’s account. The first time they came with healthy Lifestyle, Another time they came as Smartclean. Best decribed as Sheep’s in wolves clothing.
How did this happen one may ask? I ordered their product, but along the line , I discovered that their gummies was added together with their cream , I called to cancel the gummies only for them to reply that they have received my cancellation notification this was what made me to relax not knowing that this people was up to something. I was not checking my account since I had already cancelled my business with them. It was my bank that notified me about their scamming activities
to cut the whole story short , The bank quickly blocked the account with my consent. I ended up losing up to $368.26 but recovered only $242.8. Please beware of this people they are SCAMMERS in a different form. I hope that government come to the aid of innocent citizens by investigating into this matter. They should be banned from their operation. Don’t be carried away with their so called free trial. They are bunch of liars.

To be fair. I read the reports above. I do not remember anything about the recurring subscription nor it’s cost. I phoned today, got a customer rep right away. She explained everything and how to cancel the subscription for 2 of the products. The 3rd was not subscription based. She was very helpful with the order number and RMA number. I only have to pay to ship the 2 products back. 1 Oct 2020
I had the exact same scam happen to me. I dealt directly with my credit card company and they refunded everything. I did get an e-mail from Cnaterbury Farms confirming the refunds. The credit card people did not ask too many questions as I am sure they were well aware of the scam. I my case the Facebook add was sponsored by on of the Loion’s Den hosts which leant credibility to the add. They even had a sophisticated interview with the personality that was quite convincing. I guess you can do anything with technology today.
On August 18, 2020, I responded to their Facebook ad for trial bottles of Hemp Gummies and Hemp Oil, and agreed to pay the shipping charges for those two products, $7.18 and $7.11, respectively. There was no mention in the ad or on their website of an ongoing account, that I would be charged the full price for those two products after 14 days, charges which were made in early September on my VISA of $125.44 and $129.64. Neither was there any mention of continuing shipments, for which my VISA was charged 2 weeks later, for $132.62 and $136.75, respectively. The business names used to charge my VISA were “HealthyNature” and “NaturalLifestyle”, not Canabury Farms.
I called their office as soon as I discovered the VISA charges to cancel any and all orders, none of which I made (other than the initial trial bottles on August 18). I also had to cancel my VISA card and obtain a replacement. I will be returning any shipments of products I receive forthwith, and expect a full refund for the charges made to my VISA account, totalling over $500. If this refund is not forthcoming, I will be opening a fraud dispute with my VISA company.
Why isn’t this dishonest business practice illegal?
Stay far away from this company complete scam when they tell you free trial! Used 7 days and returned products and still charged me…total scam
Disgusting how companies like this can exist. I as well got scammed. My credit card company said I did agree to a subscription, that I was not aware of (small print). Credit card company did phone the 1-800 number with me, and Canabury Farms did give me a return authorization number and cancelled my so called subscription. Unfortunately, I’m out the return costs, but was told I would get a full credit for the over priced goods, which was close to $300.

Exactly as the below writer! Word for word!
“Because they were using the name of Mike Holmes, a well-respected Canadian builder & TV personality (illegally, I found out later), I ordered their trial bottle of Hemp Oil for payment of shipping charges (CA$7.11). My credit card shows a charge by SMARTCLEAN 888-918-4753 GBR for CA$7.11.
After I found out about and read all the scam reports I immediately cancelled my credit card. I phoned them 2 days later to prevent further shipments and charges. The phone was answered after about 6 minutes on hold. When I stated my desire to cancel, she tried very hard to get me to buy the remainder of the bottle rather than issue an RMA for its return. The cost was first $67 and then dropped to $32 along with the statement “you really don’t want to go to the trouble to go to the post office”! From the return address she gave me, I knew return shipping would be less than CA$10.
Anyways, I learned my lesson about these so called free trials”
I ordered the free trial and was supposed to be charged only for shipping 7.11 then a week later was charged 129.64 and a day after that 136.75!For that I received 2 bottles of Hemp Gummies!WHAT A RIP OFF! I spoke with Sanika and she informed me of the charges that I DID NOT APPROVE! GOVERN YOURSELVES ACCORINGLY!

Further to previous post: got the RMA number no problem and will return remainder of bottle tomorrow – postage will be much less than CA$10.
Checked out the free trial, payment for the shipping fees only. The gummies arrived within days. Seemed too good to be true so I did a little more research than I had before the trial order – yes, it was endorsed by a celebrity and that was the hook. Anyway, I called to tell them I’m aware there is a scam involved and I want no part of a subscription or any additional fees. The woman spoke abruptly and quickly, as noted by a reviewer above, and my requests for her to slow down were met with disdain. She tried to convince me that I could get further discounts and/or pay a discounted fee for the bottle that was shipped if I did not wish to continue. Eventually I convinced her that I cannot use this product and must return it. Only then did she provide the information required to return the bottle that I had only just opened. I will return the opened bottle and expect no fees beyond the 7.11 to appear on my account. Buyer beware, indeed.
Similar experience with me…ordered online in response to their promotion for “free” gummies …three charges to my bank debit card: HEALTHYNAT 7.11_V…HEALTHYNAT 28.99_V …and NATURALLIF 7.18_V…plus shipping & handling charge of $4.90…for a total of $48.18. Charges made on Sept.8th although online transaction was done on Sept. 5th. I made print-out of online details that appeared to look very official and included an order #, shipping info and products purchased. Apparently, the three bank charges relate to “Canabury Farms Gummies” (28.99) ; “Hemp Oil” (7.18) and “Hemp Skin Cream” (7.11). I suppose I should have clued into these charges when I noticed them as “ordered items” on the printed copy I made from their website and that I clearly DID NOT order. However, the gummies were definitely not FREE as promo stated. It is now Sept. 15th and although my “order was estimated to arrive by Sept. 10th”, I suspect I have become another “scammed” sucker ! I intend to wait another week or so, due to postal “covid” delays, before seeking possible refund.
Regretfully,
Bev.

On september 9th, at 8:53 I ordered some product free sample and subsequently found out that it’s a subscription scheme… May be legal but the online practices and to entice to you to share credit card to get free sample only to charge outrageous pricing for a sub-par product.
All phones calls and emails have yielded no results. I’m told I have to wait for the product to be delivered and then I can initiate an RMA. I have locked my credit card until this is resolved. I immediately ended up with three separate charges on my account.
My credit card company CIBC said I entered into an agreement with the company and the onus is on me to break this contract with them.
Very shady.
I’m hoping this can be investigated further as I"m not the only one who’s been duped.
While I did not lose the same amount of money as the above person stated, I’ve had exactly the same experience.
Total money lost $136.75
Type of a scam Online Purchase
On or about July 29, 2020, I was researching on the internet. I came across a website on pain relief. It was the Canabury Farms website in regards to the use and benefits of cannabidiol (CBD). I have heard of Canabury Farms in passing and was familiar with a couple of celebrities as related and linked to the website. I have heard of CBD in the past and other people’s positive experiences with it generally. I decided to purchase a bottle of “Hemp Oil.”
Upon further reading of the content on the website, I came across a free offer of a sample of their “Hemp Oil” product. I decided forego the purchase and to accept the free offer in order to sample the product for pain relief. I clicked on the offer and while making the order, a subsequent free offer was made for “Hemp Gummies.” I accepted that offer as well.
After making the order, I reviewed the completed credit card transaction and noticed a charge of CDN$28.99 for some topical lotion, on the final statement. I did not order the topical lotion. In effect, I declined the topical lotion by simply not ordering it. However, it was on the final statement and I was not able to correct the charge in the statement on-line. I immediately phoned the company with the phone number given on the website. I spoke with the representative and she indicated understanding my concern, in part, but attempted to sell me the topical lotion anyways for CDN$28.99. I declined the pitched sale. I did reaffirm my desire for the offered free samples of “Hemp Oil” and “Hemp Gummies.” I did so to check the products out for practical pain relief. She validated my order as made and was able to correct and refund the CDN$28.99 charge for the topical lotion immediately. (This is verified on my July/August credit card invoice.) During that conversation, she clarified that there would be postal charges for the two individual items, to be delivered separately. There would be no further duties or tariffs. The costs would be about CDN$7.00 each. I accepted and agreed to these two charges. I confirmed that these were free samples with no commitment or agreement for future orders or deliveries. No other financial details or conditions were given to me. The two products were delivered shortly thereafter.
I received my July/August credit card statement. In it where two sets of significant amounts:
(1) (a) On July 29, 2020, there was a charge by PURELIVING 8889308616 for CDN$28.99 as well as a refund for that same amount (as noted above).
(b) There were other charges: by PURELIVING 8889308616 for CDN$7.11 and by SMARTNUTRITION 8889305331 for CDN$7.18.
(2) (a) On August 15, 2020, there was a charge by PURELIVING 8889308616 for CDN$129.64.
(b) On August 19, 2020, there was a charge by SMARTNUTRITION 8889305331 for CDN$125.44.
I did not recognize nor even authorize either of these charges in (2)(a & b).
Further, I did not recognize either of these entities: PURELIVING or SMARTNUTRITION. I phoned my bank’s credit card Security / Disputes department. They helped me realize and conclude that these transactions were probably in regards to Canabury Farms and gave me the respective phone numbers and E-mail addresses for PURELIVING or SMARTNUTRITION.
I contacted the entities identified on my July/August credit card invoice: PURELIVING and SMARTNUTRITION with the phone numbers and E-mail addresses provided by the bank’s credit card Security / Disputes department. Phone contact was unsuccessful with both. Received E-mail replies from both entities but both denied my existence as a customer and therefore any charges to me. PURELIVING suggested that my credit card company misidentified them as the seller and that another company by similar name is at issue.
On September 03, 2020, I checked Canabury Farms website http://canaburyfarmscbd.com/ and was redirected to another website and got phone number: 1-833-400-0035 and E-mail: [email protected] When I reached them by phone, they attempted your pull up my account by asking, in this sequence, for my postal code, phone number, E-mail address, last four digits of credit card used, last and first name, and residential postal code. All with negative outcomes. They clarified that they were not a Canabury Farms. When asked who is her employer, she represents and works for “Canada Hemp Oil.” I informed her of my back tracing from Canabury Farms website; she denied that phone 1-866-537-7575 (of Canabury Farms) was affiliated with Canada Hemp Oil. She went on to report that they do not produce GUMMIES. I expressed thanks for her effort and information in this matter. In retrospect there was some confusing information I was dealing with here.
Following on that phone conversation, I returned to and checked the Canabury Farms labels for “Hemp Oil” and “Hemp Gummies” and found the phone number: 1-866-537-7575 listed on both. The labels also indicated only: Licensed To & Distributed By: Canabury Farms, M3J 0L4. Their website is https://canaburyfarms.com/contact.php. I phoned their number and spoke with a representative. She conducted a personal identification confirmation procedure and immediately asked for only my phone number and name. She reported and confirmed that I had an account with them. That was a relief, to know I existed with them. She then initiated the substantive part of the conversation by asking me if this call was about the CDN$136.75 charge of that day. I said no but tell me more. She recounted that a charge was just made that day and asked was I cancelling it. I said yes, of course. With surprise. I was not aware of this more recent charge. She went on to recount the previous charges of CDN$129.64 and CDN$125.44 which I said was what I was intending to talk about in this call.
She acknowledged PURELIVING and SMARTNUTRITION, that were found on the credit card invoice, matched the website I ordered from, Canabury Farms, and that they were in relation to the postal charges: CDN$7.11 and CDN$7.18 and the CDN$129.64 and CDN$125.44 charges respectively, as noted above. When asked, she would not tell me why Canabury Farms was not listed on the invoice. When asked what company she was with and who are PURELIVING and SMARTNUTRITION, she stated only being “a third party” supplier representative and would not give me the name of who she worked for, a superior’s name nor relevant E-mail address.
She recounted a short list of policies on purchasing, returns and refunds; all the data was confusing to me due to her apparent abrupt, curt and rapid speech. I asked for a slower description / repetition but did not get one. I informed her of my initial conversation while ordering and that her information was not given to me on July 29, 2020 by the Canabury Farms representative. She presented as unwilling to review the respective charges and remedies for my understanding. I did hear her offer a 50% refund but unclear as to which product. She presented an ultimatum to accept the refund or not. I stated wanting a full 100% refund for all charges (noted above). I stated to cancel all the above and future orders and charges. She stated being unable to do so for the two earlier charges noted above but will refund the CDN$136.75 charge of that day. When asked three (x3+) times plus for the name of her company she declined. She stated and repeated, they are “a third party” supplier. When asked for an E-mail address to communicate with her company superiors, she stated they do not use E-mail. When asked to speak to or communicate either a superior in the organization, she stated that does not happen. She provided me with a product return address: PO Box 1127, Downsview, Ontario, M3J 0R2; order # (redacted); RAM # (redacted). She suggested to get a tracking number for any returns. When asked who to address it to she repeated they are only “a third party” supplier. She stated having my E-mail address on record and will send me information. The details from her in this conversation were confusing to me. I informed her of contacting PureLiving and Smarter Nutrition who both denied my existence as a customer. I acknowledged that it was only she who confirmed my existence as a customer on record and not the other two companies. She asked if I had any further questions. When responding and reviewing the information provided she hung up on me in mid dialogue.
Throughout this whole experience, I communicated by phone followed with written updates to my bank’s credit card Security and/or Disputes departments.
Today, upon review of my bank’s credit card on-line statement, Authorized Transactions, I acknowledge:
(a) receipt of a refund from PURELIVING backdated to August 15, 2020, for CDN$129.64,
(b) receipt of a refund from SMARTNUTRITION backdated to August 19, 2020, for CDN$125.44, and
(c) a remaining charge still exists by PURELIVING on September 3, 2020 of CDN$136.75. I am expecting a full refund as promised (noted above).
In the last few days, I have conducted a dedicated search on the entity Canabury Farms. This search has included but not limited to Federal and Provincial government websites. All to no success. I still do not know the real address and location of this company nor the name or direct means of contact of the Chief Operating Officer or that of the board of directors. I would like this information in order to communicate with them.
I will be contacting and alerting the RCMP on this matter, shortly.
In regards to further details for this submission:
1. Canabury Farms, as identified with M3J 0L4 at 1-866-537-7575, has the following personal identifiable information: my first and family name, phone number, postal address, credit card number, expiry date & code number and E-mail address.
2. I do not know nor have access to the street or office address of Canabury Farms.
3. I paid on-line with a bank credit card.
4. I immediately terminated my bank’s credit card used for the above transactions and arranged a replacement. The bank has given me confirmation of the replacement.
My question to the ScamPulse.com is how do I effectively have Canabury Farms erase all of my personal identifiable information from their records? I do not want to do any business with them.
In conclusion, I have received most of my money back, to date. I am concerned that on-going brazen attempts by this company to further access my credit card account with charges without my consent or authorization. Their actions were obviously altered at this time with the inclusion and intervention of my bank’s credit card Security / Disputes department.
Feel free to contact me by E-mail.
Sincerely,
Complainant
Thanks for your information . The same thing happened to me .So far they have said they would give me my money back. that was on Oct. 02 2020..The last time i called asked for a supervisor or E-MAIL got nothing. HOW MANY DAYS DID IT TAKE TO GET YOUR REFUND
