Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Someone who called himself “Anthony Taylor” contacted us , pretending to be interested in renting our vacation rental apartment for three days, sent a fake check with the amount for the rental plus 2,000$ extra, supposedly accidentally added to the check and meant for his travel agent. We were asked to send the balance by Zelle to David Mautin [email protected] , or to mail Monet order to : Angela Bolen 83 oil Court, Wylie , Texas 75098.
Bank confirmed check was counterfeit.
