A friend was looking for a puppy and he found the bearside bullmastiff site selling the puppies with all the shots, guarantees, excellent bloodline, etc. The scammer even provided a authentic looking contract transferring the puppies AKC registration to my friends name. They were located in Georgia, had several conversations and emails with the "breeder". He was going to ship the puppy which was included in the price of $800. After paying the $800 the "courier service" that was going to deliver the puppy said a climate controlled crate was needed due to extreme conditions. It was a refundable charge of $1,500. After paying that and trying to get the deliver setup my friend received another call saying he was required to have refundable pet insurance. At this point he figured it was a scam and called them out. I had contacted bearside just to see if I could get any information that would help my friend with his claim that he filed with police. I had the same "form" email that my friend received except now they were in El Paso, Texas. He was already for me to sign up and pay but when I starting asking for more detail on the parents, proof of tests that they guarantees, testimonials of other purchases he stopped replying to my emails.
