Type of a scam Identity Theft
A guy call me stating his name was Steve Wilson at Bernstein Law Firm and he works with Jefferson County Clerk. He wanted me to call him back because Wells Fargo has a lawsuit against me, if I don’t call him back, charges will be filed against me. The police will pick me up and I’ll do some time in jail. So, I call him back, he wanted my bank account number and my social security number. That’s when I figure that was a scam. I made a excuse to call him back, hung up immediately. Then I call Jefferson County Clerk Office a lady answer, I ask her if they had a Steve Wilson working for them? She said, " No", but she was glad she call, and gave them that information. They will keep that information she gave them on file, then she recormmend, that she call the ScamPulse.com and tell us about it. Well, I’m so glad I didn’t panic, and keep my head calm, I didn’t give him my information. Also, I call Wells Fargo and they didn’t know what I was talking about.
