We received an email from this Best of Berthoud Awards, stating that we had been selected as the winner of an award in the Excavating Class. When you click on the link in the email, it takes you to a website that has different award options (plaque, crystal, etc.), and they are selling these awards for $150 up to $350 each! We then decided to look them up through a web browser, and nothing comes up when you search their business name or any keywords. Also, we know that we are 1 of maybe 2 or 3 excavating contractors in Berthoud, so just that fact alone makes it seem like a hokey award. We did not purchase anything from them, as we find it extremely odd to purchase an award for yourself.
