A contractor approached me on Friday 13, 2016, stating that he had extra material left from a previous job of repaving a driveway in my neighborhood and he could repave my driveway cracks and entire driveway at a really reasonable price. He gave me a quote on my backyard patio and driveway for $85.00 for the patio and $150 for the driveway. I fell for the okie dokie and allowed them to do the job. Little did I know, I was being scammed. After the guys were finished, my backyard grass was ruined around the patio and the front yard . Once the job was completed, The man told me that it would be $2,200. We had a heated dispute for about 30 minutes and I told him I was calling the police because I felt I was being scammed. I had just been released from the hospital the week prior. When I motioned to call the police, the contractor decided to collect $500. I paid them to leave my property and decided to followup with a complaint. They later returned because they could not cash the check at a nearby *** *** *** Store and returned to collect pmt of $400 cash. Hopefully this is the end of the situation. The contractor also used the telephone number of 901-634-0838.
