Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I received a message yesterday on messenger from someone posing as a friend of mine that lives in another state. I have not seen her in a long time. She told me she had applied for a Usaid Empowerment Grant and was awarded $20,000. And she suggested I apply to. I was told to text Adam Murphy at 321-373-3506. When I did he gave me a list of information he needed: name, phone #, address, email address, age, ID# (I only gave my drivers license #), income, occupation (I am retired) etc. I gave no SSN, bank account #’s, etc. After submitting that, he came back and told me I qualified for a grant, but first I would have to pay a fee. That’s when I knew it was a scam. I told him I was not interested and he got nasty with me and said he would go after my family and use my information in a fraudulent manner.
