On our home phone we kept getting calls from a recorded message saying our Apple ID had been compromised and to call them immediately. I ignored the calls for a few weeks but finally picked up while recording was going and it asked me to push "1". I did and someone from India with lots of background solicitor noise answered and asked me why I called. I told him I didn’t call that they called me. He acted like he was from Apple and wanted me to give him access to my computer so he could get Malware off my computer. He claimed that someone used my iTunes account from California and Alabama for $10.00. I got on iTunes and saw that nothing was charged to me for $10.00. He said it didn’t show up on my end. I questioned him and questioned him. He got very irritated and extremely pushy with me. He even gave me an Apple employee number to write down because I didn’t believe him. I didn’t do what he wanted and I finally hung up. But it was very very convincing and could possibly fool someone who didn’t know to call Apple directly like I did. If I would have let him have access to my computer he would have gotten all my passwords.
