These people called my phone and said they were Mediacom, specifically her name was Josie. We are Mediacom customers, so when they said that we would get showtime and other channels for free if we just offered some information, a red flag went up. Beware. These people are not legit. They will give you a phone number which was 888-862-8501. When I called that number back Gene answered and was ready to go along with the scam. They said they were from Omaha Nebraska. But I know the way midwesterners talk, and it was not like this scripted voice.
