Type of a scam Online Purchase
Bogus dealership listing used cars for sale. Using both Edmunds and Carfax website. Pricing reasonable and offers free shipping anywhere in the US. Emailed both sales agreement and vehicle buyer order to me. I pulled the carfax report and it shows the vehicle is in dealer stock, so seemed totally legitimate. Googled the address and it shows an auto dealership Hardin Auto West. Once I indicated that I was getting bank financing the follow up became much slower and website and all phone numbers have disappeared. I contacted Hardin Auto West and they no longer own the location and are aware that this scam is happening. HARDIN AUTO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SCAM. They are a victim too.
