A pop-up said that Microsoft was going to shut down the computer because there was porn on it. I called the phone number and "Alex Gomez" and "Ricky Sen" talked me into giving them remote access to my pc. The total amount was $899.99. My wife had been through a similar scam in August. They ask you to scan a check for the amount. My wife had to close her account and open a new one. She filed a fraud claim and the bank refunded her money, thank God. She interrupted the scam on me and we went to he bank and closed our joint account before they could process the check for $899.99. They have Indian accents. Now we have to pay to have our pc cleaned up again. Please don’t fall for this scam. We both feel so stupid.
