Total money lost $400
Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Assisting America.org called and made a point that they would help me out with the loan. They assured me that they were accredited with the BBB department and that they were always available to help. They requested my signature on a couple of documents to finish off the process and said that no money would be pulled until all documents were signed. Well, they pulled the first $ 400.00 out when I had not completed the paper peocess yet. This prompted me to call the number listed on the transaction (from my bank statement) and found that the number was disconnected. I emailed the representative whom had connected with Javier Medina (student loan advisor) and he never returned my call or emailed me back to address my concerns. They have all my personal information and now my stress level has gone up. Up until today (Jan. 22. 2016) my issue has yet to be resolved. What they did try and do is have a lady call me to request another payment. She told me her supervisor would contact me when they get off the phone with the other customer. Unbelievable. These people are schemers and i hope no one else gets caught up in the middle of something like this. Please help me and the public know about this agency.
Thank you for your time.
