Letter states: that if your factory warranty on my vehicle has expired, i will be responsible for paying any repairs. But I can still activate a service contract on my vehicle. Please call them for new coverage.

Received envelope with my name on it and information about my newly purchased vehicle. Had no return address but had a company name "Auto Service Agency: Vehicle Document/Alert Notice Personal and Confidential". Says our factory warranty has expired and that I will be responsible for paying any repairs. Says it is requesting 1. Extension through 2023 2. Up to or additional 125k miles 3. Platinum/powertrain. The number they had for me to call was 1-800-587-5690 and it says to respond within 5 days. This is the first one for this vehicle but I have received at least 2 others for my other vehicle.

Asked to update my vehicle service contract.

I do not have a vehicle service contract.

I called them and they had no record of my vehicle service contract.

This is a total scam to get me to sign up for a fictitious vehicle service contract

I have attached a copy of the document that came in the mail. It was in a window envelope with IMPORTANT NOTICE in red on the front. The printed stamp Prsrtd US Postage Paid Mailed from 53203 Permit 4550.

I will not act on this notice, but thought that some people might and that it is a scam.

I will mail the original letter to one of the Northern IN address for BBB.

Letter sent indicated that my car 2015 is out of warranty and that it was urgent that I contact them I find this letter is trickery and is a complete fraud and for those people who do not understand how warranty really works will easily fall for this kind of notice. I called the agency and they wanted to sell me extended warranty when I asked the man who answered why they felt my car was out of warranty he just gave me a sales pitch. He could not give me any details about the company either.

Envelope was marked Personal and Confidential. They knew that I had purchased a new car within the last year and what type of car. The letter stated: "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract updated. Please call 1-800-485-6139 today. You are receiving this notice because if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying for any repairs. However, you still may have time left to activate a service contract on this vehicle before it’s too late.

Please respond within 5 days.

There is no return address in the mailing. I called and talked with Peyton who started asking me questions about the car that I didn’t answer. I asked him how he got my information and he said he didn’t know, it was forwarded to him. He wanted to know the mileage and I told him it was none of his business.

It’s a scam. Beware.

Received blank envelope, no return address provided, from Auto Service Agency in the mail. Described concerns with warranty extension through 2023 on drive train. Called the provided phone number [1-800-439-5789] and the man on the phone, suggested I pay him to extend warranty, I requested time to research more information and would not let me, he continually requested I sent him money now as an issue with my car would be a large expense if not covered by the extended warranty which I would need to pay once a year at $600.

Auto service agency solicits individuals to "have your vehicle service contact updated". States in the mail that "your factory warranty has expired and you will be responsible for paying any repairs". Prompts you to activate a service contract on your vehicle.

We received a letter indicating we were late on contacting an unnamed ‘Auto Service Agency’ to get our vehicle service contract updated. This was immediately suspicious to us since we do not own our vehicle, we rent. Additionally, we received the notice just days prior to the contracts supposed expiration. There was no return label on the envelope, and no indication of from whom we were receiving this notice. The envelope was completely anonymous, and postage was paid simply from ‘St Peters, MO’ and deemed an ‘IMPORTANT NOTICE’ in bold red print.

Please see attached image for further information.

Thank you for investigating.

I received mail from Auto Service Agency, ID: 311PW22215, Phone Number 800-431-9163 with no return address. Where the stamp should be is marked: "Prstd Std, US Postage, PAID, Mailed From, 53203, Permit 4550." The envelope is the same type that one would receive a driver’s license renewal in. The wording on the front states a Warning: Possible Punishment of up to $5,000 fine or up to 5 years imprisonment, or both, for any person interfering with or obstructing the delivery of this letter" TTT.18U.S. Code." When I open the mail it says **Second Notice** at the top. And PLEASE CALL IMMEDIATELY. The way it is worded I would think I needed to call right away. It is junk mail for sure and I want to be removed from their list but do not want to even call the phone number

I have received two letters that say, "Request for action – important vehicle information enclosed. Warning: possible punishment of up to $5000 fine or up to 5 years imprisonment, or both for any person interpreting with or obstructing the delivery of this letter TTT.18 U.S. Code."

It goes on to say my vehicle factory warranty has expired and it wants me to pay for extended coverage.

There is no contact information other than a phone number. I haven’t called the number as it is very suspicious.
