Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
My husband received an offer to purchase National Geographic for $59.95 in October. Our grandson had requested this for his birthday in November so we thought this would be perfect so on the 21 Oct. I sent a check to this company thinking that he would have notice that he would be getting his requested present. The check cleared my bank on Nov. 3. Recently, after getting a renewal order I asked my son if they had been getting the magazine, to which the answer was "no". This is when I started checking into the company to find that it is a scam, so I guess I have wasted my money.

This company sent a notice for double the cost for a magazine publication we’ve subscribed to for years. Our subscription has been prepaid for months and no monies due. Contacted publisher of the magazine and was told this company is definitely not affiliated-it’s a scam. There has already been hundreds of negative reports about this company. ALERT & BE AWARE!

My mother received a official looking bill from Atlantic publishers group for 159.95 for a year subscription for her people magazine. She paid it to only find out this is a scam. Somebody needs to shut these people down. My mom is on a fixed income and can not afford to waste money.

Atlantic Publishers Group (APG) sends invoices that appear to be legitimate renewals for magazines you already subscribe to. I send them a check for a New Yorker magazine subscription and later learned it was not legitimate. New Yorker automatically renews my magazine each year through my credit card. When I learned this I contacted APG and asked for a refund. I have heard nothing but continue to receive more fake bills relative to my New Yorker subscription.

Atlantic Publishers Group sent me a People Magazine renewal bill for 1 year @ $179.95. It looked like a legit bill so I sent the check in and then a week later I received a different renewal bill that was actually from People Magazine for 1 year @ $116.07. I called People Magazine and they stated the APG must be a scam and that they never received any payment or notice of payment.
I want a 100% refund and legal action brought to APG. I sincerely hope that this complaint can warn others not to fall into the same trap that I did.
