Total money lost $550
Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
Yesterday, my husband bought a puppy on the Active Shih Tzu Puppy web site http://activeshihtzupuppies.com/. This site offered Shih Tzu puppies for sale. My husband emailed with them and spoke on phone (number now lost). Erick Hernandez was the contact person. Said if we prepaid $550 by Zell they would ship the puppy we chose on their Website directly to us by a certified pet mover. The tracking number and moving company were fake. Web site, which was last updated in 2014, shows an Australian location. The moving company was called Eco Pet Mover.
We are out $550 but didn’t fall for the followup scam. They contacted us and said they needed another $1200 to provide the puppy with a safe, climate controlled career to fly to Chicago in. We demanded our money back but have heard nothing since.
Upon further examination, it appears the puppies on their site are actually stuffed animals.
http://activeshihtzupuppies.com/ was the site. I believe it is still operating.
