Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Do NOT cash and/or deposit a check, money order, or cashiers check for this "Ebay/Wal-Mart Survey." They will first contact you by text message to acknowledge you are interested in participating in a "Secret Shopper" program. A day or two later you will receive a U.S.P.S. Priority Mail pack with a Check/Cashiers Check/Money Order instructing to you to cash the check, buy Ebay gift cards at Walmart and a variety of other stores. Then you are instructed to peel the cards, take pictures of those cards, and text and/or email the pictures of the gift cards. DO NOT DO THIS. Your bank will not realize the check is fake until days or weeks later and you are stuck with the cash you withdrew for the purchase of those cards.
