Type of a scam Employment
I was approached via email about a job offer. I have been actively searching for employment so I figured I must have forgotten applying for their company some how. I was told to view the job descriptions and choose which role I was interested in by typing up a letter response answering 5 other questions. I did so and was informed I was hired. Mind you I never completed any type of interview, never spoke with a person on the phone either. After signing an employment agreement they asked for my bank information at which point I told them I didn’t feel comfortable disclosing that info via email and asked could I visit the office. They responded with; “Dear Ashley,
The office in Dallas has not yet opened.
It will be open next week.
Your training will take place at home.
Training will work remotely.
You will need only to have internet connection to communicate with us, and a mobile phone to communicate with our operators.
When will you send me your Bank Account information?“
I explained I didn’t mind waiting for the office to officially open since I wouldn’t be getting paid any time soon anyway & that I was looking forward to talking to someone on the phone. Never got another email from them again!
