Type of a scam Debt Collections
This company used another company to contact me called Civil Location Services who called me with a case #. I called the number they gave me and was transferred to First Equity who told me they were contacting me for their client Assured Financial.They were trying to get me to pay an account that was included in bankruptcy. Once I told them that they "checked their resources" and said it was a mistake and that they would update their records. Hopefully I won’t hear from them again but we will see. In order to get this information from them I had to verify my birthdate and ss# (4-digits). I probably shouldn’t have done that but I am tired of these calls.
