Type of a scam Online Purchase
The person makes you fill out an application to ensure you are fit for the dog and sends additional cute photos. He makes you sign a dog bill of sale and looks legitimate, but wants payment through cash app or Zelle. The seller is Thompson Dunlop but the request for money is being sent to a Jason McDowell. I called and it a male answered the phone with an Indian accent and assured that I would get the puppy within 3 hours after payment but was unable to provide what shipping company. He said they use “Imperial” shipping company which is a private company, but when I did a google search it’s a company over seas in Europe and India. He was charging a total of $710 for puppy plus shipping. He also said they use UPS sometimes but UPS does not ship live animals according to their website. They don’t accept credit cards. I asked him about the inconsistency in names and he said that “it’s my personal information” he assured me it was accurate. I also asked about the inconsistency in address in bill of sale (UT)and the one on BBB(AL) and he states that he and his wife moved a couple of months ago. According to the testimonials it states that “Maria” is very knowledgeable with the dogs but there is not a Maria selling the dog. I didn’t move forward and hope you don’t either.. it’s a fishy business and would not trust akc King Charles spaniel puppies website.
