Andrew and Christine Gates

This exact same scam was tried on my daughter. She will be a freshman at UNM and the add was actually in the University portal. They went as far as offering up front $500 cashiers check to bind her to a contract to take care of their puppy. They kept asking where she lived as well. The information they asked for was gradual as they worked it in to create a relationship first that seemed real and trustworthy.
