Total money lost $750

Type of a scam Government Grant

Mark Foster contacted me in regards to a government grant that I’d been eligible for. If I went out and purchased prepaid cards and read the numbers from the back they would be authorized to send out the grant money in total around $9,400. After I paid $750.00 in cards they asked for a further $750.00. They accepted Steam or Google Play cards. Supposedly they were located out of Washington, DC; however, looking back it may have been someone from another country. I was told not to tell my family members.

I received a call on my cell phone telling me that I had won a government grant. They wanted me to send them $200 to register with the National Treasury–I had to do this before I could receive the grant.

They wanted me to go to Walmart for a registration voucher and they would send me $9800. They knew my name, when I was born, how old I was, another address that I lived at previously.
