Type of a scam Debt Collections
Caller claims to be from "FMR Collections" attempting to collect on a claim made by a payday loan provider back in 2011. Unwilling to give details, but will gladly send me an email that I can only open using my full social security number. Caller has very old, outdated information. After blocking their calls, they began calling others I have listed as references in the past in an attempt to contact me.

3/13-3/15 FMR Collection has left messages for me, my mother and my husband stating that they are looking for me and to contact them with information about my whereabouts or the police will be contacted. I called them and they tried verifying my new and old information. But i think it was to place together my identity. They said i took out a payday loan in Nov 2012 which i never did and that charges were going to be filed against me if i didn’t pay. I explained that i did not except the debt and that i wanted the debt in writing which they refused because they said i was already contacted. Then today on 3/16 i received an email from an old bank that i had last year stating that i was trying to access a closed account via my cell phone number. I think FMR is trying to access they account to take money but the account is closed. I did not like they way they had my old information mixed with current information like they were fishing for my identity.
