FREEDOM MORTGAGE

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I was contacted by a Brad Cooper identifying himself as a representative of Freedom Mortgage. His claim was that we were selected for a Loan Modification for our defaulted loan. The loan would be reduced in Interest rate with 3 trial payments to 3% they would immediately take a payment from one of the listed accounts on our workout page. When I claimed I had no money in that account they went offline then stated the attorneys would take a money gram for $1100 the amount was discounted to help with fees but had to be done in next 30 minutes. When I hesitated they knew where I lived and how long it would take me to get to a Walmart. I came up with a story on how long it would take to put on my7 prosthetic and hung up. I called my lender and found it was an elaborate scam to take my money.

I forwarded to DA’s office

The caller ID comes up Freedom Mortgage in Capital letters

I received a voicemail from Freedom Mortgage where the caller claimed Freedom Mortgage had acquired my mortgage company (Flagstar Mortgage), and that I should call them back regarding my loan payments. This is the second time I have received such a call. There is no record of such an acquisition occurring, and if it had, I obviously would have been contacted by Flagstar.
