Type of a scam Online Purchase
My daughter is typically responsible with her online shopping; goes to safe, well known websites. She finds what she wants online and then we review it together. She asked if she could purchase this new backpack for school. She got everything setup in my cart, so i just had to review and input my card info to make the purchase final. The site appeared legit.
The charge came through on my card right away. Then over a week has gone by and my daughter keeps checking for her backpack and nothing? So I went through my emails and realized I never received any confirmations. No order confirmation, no shipping info, NOTHING! Then I go to the website and there is only an email address for contact; no phone or address.
Then I decided to google this company. That is where I see different posts about this being a possible scam.
This is a good lesson for my 13 year old daughter. We will be discussingand reviewing safety on the internet again; even if it’s just shopping, you can never be too cautious and careful. This is a good reminder for me as well. Always double check the sites and their security.

Type of a scam Credit Cards
I really wanted a fjallraven kanken backpack and I was delighted when I found website that (seemed legit) selling them for 50% off. When I entered in my credit card info and placed my order, it said my order failed. I shrugged it off thinking I must’ve typed in the card information wrong so I tried a second time. The same thing happened so I decided to call the number provided by the website and found out that this number had been a reported scam number. Do not try to buy anything from hotsales.com !!!!
