Type of a scam Government Grant
The phone call was apparently from the "Government". The lady said that the business she was calling from was from the Federal Grants Department. She said that I would receive $7,000 for being a good citizen. That I had no criminal record, paid my bank account on time, and above that, she had my home address. I didn’t give her my social security number, because I was suspicious. The lady said in order to receive the "grant" was to buy a registration card for only $300. And I was to go to the nearest Wal-Mart or Walgreens nearby. She said that I would get reimbursed. That all sounded really suspicious so I, in the end, said no to this "$7,000 grant".
