Initially responded to an ad for Sprinter Van on Craigslist. When they responded, two weeks later, vehicle was still for sale but now only available through a "consignor". Consigner website looked legit, no warning on BBB,etc. We stupidly wired 29k and was told delivery of vehicle would be within four business days of "scheduling" delivery. Scheduled Nov 11/20 so expected delivery 11/24. Email confirmation indicated delivery would be "between 3 and 5 pm Friday the 24th". Waited. No call, no email, no one answering repeated calls or emails. No delivery Friday, Monday, Tuesday etc. Contacted attorney who said we’d been scammed. Not a thing we can do.
They never picked up a phone call. We just go message: "We are very busy, please leave a message". They did respond to 7 emails apologizing for lack of communication, blah, blah. But, after all, no delivery, no response.
Warning: Their website looks VERY legitimate. Upon further investigation, web domain name hosted by Eranet International Limited, a company out of Hong Kong. Buyer BEWARE : (
