Fenix Protect

Type of a scam Worthless Problem-solving Service Scam

Like others who have reported Fenix Protect, I recently purchased a new car with an extended dealer warranty and got an unsolicited offer for an extended warranty within months of the purchase. I got a quasi-official letter with Chrysler on the letterhead with PLEASE CALL IMMEDIATELY warnings, and although it does have a small print disclaimer on the bottom, this is deceptive advertising at best. Chrysler should sue them for abuse of their trademark.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only scam extended warranty company to contact me after my purchase, several different bottom feeders have surfaced with these scams.

Type of a scam Phishing

I just registered with Texas DMV and receive a letter in the mail from "Fenix Protect." No return address. Stamp says permit # 699, Zip Code 92799. The letter states: "Final Notice," "Final Attempt to Notify," "This letter is to inform you: That if your factory warranty has expired, you will be Financially Liable for all repairs. Our records indicate that you have tno contacted us to get your service contract up-to-date." "Extremely urgent and time sensitive – this is not a bill." It has the phone number 1-800-674-2963 saying "Please Call Immediately."

This is designed to create fear and a sense of urgency. They are not tied to my vehicle’s company. This advertising is to hook people.
