I was looking for a Maine [censored] kitten online and came across the website www.fancymainecoons.com, so I filled out the contact form on the website and someone got back to me via email within a reasonable amount of time. He said there was only one kitten left. After giving me information about the supposed kitten, and even sending a video of her, I told him I would buy her. He wanted me to use Zelle to pay him, so I transferred the amount to him. I was not familiar with Zelle, and did not realize that there is no fraud protection in using them. So he has my money for the cat, and a few days later informs me that in order to fly the kitten from Tuscon AZ to Utah, the pet transport company needed an additional $900.00 for pet insurance. I was told it would be fully refundable upon picking up the kitten. Of course, all of this turned out to be a scam.
