Type of a scam Phishing
Received a phone call. Told that unless $200.00 was sent to them, benefits would be cancelled. Phoned 1 855 999 2025, the number that call came from. Person answered, "Claims Dept." Asked what was the name of the company that was calling and told, "U.S. Government Claims." Asked where they were located and told, "New York City." Asked if they had an address, told, "Yes." Asked for address and was call was ended.
Not sure what this was about. Referrence was made to bills paid. Told to go to Western Union and purchase some sort of gift card.for $200.00. Once the $200.00 was sent, $9,000.00 would immediately be available.
