Type of a scam Debt Collections
Received call from Danielle at "U.C.M & Associates", she claimed to be a paralegal with this "firm" and called out the last 4 number of my social. She proceeded to tell me that I owed an outstanding debt from 2006 with a company called Providian and that I needed to set up payment with them to keep this out of court. I have been receiving calls like this for 2 years now. It all started when I purchased a house. My credit is clear of any discrepancies so I know I do not have any outstanding balances. I advised Danielle that this is a scam and she continued to talk over me with her scripted set up so I hung up. She called 3 more times and I hung up every time telling her this is a scam and to stop calling me. She advised that I would be served between now and Wednesday.
I reversed looked up the phone number 210-598-7959 and it came back to San Antonino Texas. I googled the "firm’s" name U.C.M. & Associates and was unable to find any company except for University of Central Missouri. Reporting this since I am sick to death of these people.
