Scammer texted me said they were hearing impaired and wanted to know if my business (health and wellness coaching) could take credit cards for my business.
Then after much discussion via email,sending quotes ( for health coaching services) to a person claiming to need lung cancer surgery soon and needing support and wanting coaching for her children, we discussed payment via credit card and that they couldn’t use paypal or square. My red flags started to pop. I was asking for person information to fill in the blanks. So I said how about stripe? Then they wanted me to get a large payment specifically 6550.. not what i was invoicing for and bring a cash deposit to a limo driver of 3500.00 as a favor. I started googling and got other scam reports that were nearly identical to this one. When I asked for proof of identity the conversations ended. 23 emails and several texts. All from my business page.
