I recd an email originally from Walgreens regarding employment opportunities. I applied for merchandising and marketing and they emailed me back and said congratulations, welcome aboard, you will be a secret shopper. Today, I recd a check for $1,890 and it came from Rebecca Maller, 1104 N Eastern Ave, LA, CA 90063-3200. I was instructed to cash the check the same day; if I cannot cash the check the same day funds will be available within 24 hrs. Then, I should complete my surveys within 48 hours. Once the funds are available I was instructed to withdraw the cash and take my commission of $300. Then, I should purchase several $500 gift cards each from Kroger; Target; and also Google play gift cards. Then, I should gently scratch off to show the numbers on the gift cards and email it to them. I was apprehensive so called the BBB for information. I did not cash the check nor purchase any gift cards. I’m not contacting them anymore and will report them to the FTC.
Gently scratch off the numbers for the gift cards and take a picture of them and email it to them.
