Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
On 6/24/20 Contacted via text, confirmed entry as a WalmartSpy Survey Personnel. On 6/27/20 Received a check for: $1,425.62 and instructed to deposit the check and go to Walmart and purchase Gift Cards (up to $1,000.00 with CASH ONLY), & keep $400.00 for my evaluation. Take a picture of the front & back of the gift cards (after scratching claim code/pin # off) and email or text pictures. I did NOT cash the check. By 7/1/20 being threatened with attorney’s for stealing their money! I said all signs point to Fraud and that I would contact the BBB/FTC and haven’t had any further correspondence.
