Scammer, "Jack Wilson" (also Myra Smith ext. 3179) with Yale Vision called John Horn, asking for a call back. Mr. Hxxx called scammer back and was told that money would be put into his account ($4000), $2500 of that he would be able to keep if he went out and bought gift cards for scammer. Mr. Hxxx went out and bought $500 for Best Buy, $600 for Walmart, and $900 for Albertson’s. During this time, scammer had Mr. Hxxx’s accounts tied up and unable to touch. After Mr. Horn bought/sent gift cards to scammer, the remaining money was debited from his account, causing him to lose $2500. Mr. Hxxx did file a police report and closed his account with the bank. Mr. Hxxx realizes that BBB is unable to get any of that money back.
