Type of a scam Phishing
Had a vehicle for sale on Used Victoria. I received an email stating that she/he was interested the car. She stated they wanted a copy of the vehicle history. I informed her that I had the vehicle history dated one month ago. She stated that was not good enough and that her bank was CitiBank which was American owned and required an updated copy. She said she wanted to incorporate a car loan with her renovation loan and that I could use Carfax, Carproof or HTTP://BMW.CaFinancing.pro/ She said she could E-transfer the funds to me if I did not have the money. After much back and forth and a search of the ScamPulse.com Scam Tracker website, I realized that this was indeed a scam. I informed the buyer that I knew what she up to and not to contact me again.

Put our truck up for sale on used.ca and got this Email saying this person was interested in buying our truck but needed a vehicle history. I was given 3 suggestions to get this and unfortunately chose the wrong one. They suggested Carfax, Carproof or http://Dodge.CaFinancing.pro/.
I got the report form the latter which charged $30. When this was sent to the person they were, of course, uninterested in the car. Through investigation, I found that the person gets a kickback from each person that they can get to use the VIN search site.
